New Beginnings

I still have my first ring. It's a humble gold-toned stainless steel band that took three years to replace. I still wear it most days unless there's a special occasion. I lost the original ring I got married with back on a drunken Halloween night in 2022 as I passed out from tequila—long, annoying story; don't ask. I tried my best to find it the morning after, but je n’y peux rien!! Life became so busy afterwards, that we only managed to purchase decent wedding rings last year.

But hey, now I have a Victorian-inspired 18k gold ring with three emeralds!

I feel like a Walmart Elizabeth Taylor lol

I've always loved gold and emeralds; being raised around Arab women does that to you. Diamonds are great, but nearly everyone has them these days and it's just not my style. I thought about getting a genuine antique ring, but couldn't find one in my size since I have teeny tiny fingers. My husband had this ring made and shipped all the way from the UK, so I better not lose this!

I couldn't find a real antique for myself, but was able to find my husband a rose gold ring with a bezel-set onyx that luckily had the letter "M" on it. Would you believe this is from the 1890s? I love my new ring, but this fact makes me jealous!

I actually have so much more to show you guys, but I'll save everything for my future posts.
We've been to Taiwan twice last year and I'm still thinking of writing about those trips.

I haven't posted recently because I've been going through a lot of stress. I posted before about my father having cancer, and also there's also a lot of other stuff going on. Though I'm happy to say that now, I can finally breathe somehow! My father's surgery went well. He's now recovering. I've also been working on my mental health and prioritizing my wellbeing these days so I'm just taking a break from the internet.

I would like to wish you all a happy new year before I end this post~
May this new year be better for everyone ♡
